“We know that in some countries 80% of the population lives on agriculture, so it is clear that we need to provide this assistance to those who need it.” This was stated by FAO Director-General Qu Dongyu, explaining that “urgent and humanitarian aid has been requested for Afghanistan with more than one billion dollars”, during a press statement on the sidelines of the G20 Agriculture meeting in Florence.

Vladimir Putin expects Afghanistan to become an independent, neutral, united and democratic country. This came at the joint summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. He added that the United States’ departure from Afghanistan left “the country’s Pandora’s box” open. TASS reports.

China calls on the countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization to work together for peace and stability “which are more precious than gold”, so that the future of Afghanistan is in the hands of “all its ethnic groups”. Speaking at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, Xi added that while respecting the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Afghanistan, “we must ensure that all ethnic groups can independently control the country’s future.” Beijing asked “the instigators of the status quo to learn from the past and take responsibility for Afghanistan’s future.”
