Microsoft says M365, cloud services inaccessible due to outage Azure AD - Cloud

Microsoft has confirmed issues with Azure Active Directory that prevent a number of users from authenticating to access cloud-based applications and services.

The company said in its advisory status report that “customers using an Azure Active Directory or Microsoft account may experience authentication issues when trying to access Azure, Dynamics 365, and/or Microsoft 365.”

“We are aware of this case and are actively investigating,” she said.

The issues started before 12:30PM EST and continued an hour later.

Users reported being unable to access a number of Microsoft Azure-based services, including the M365 admin center, as well as Exchange Online and the partner portal.

Microsoft has confirmed that these services are not accessible.

However, he said, “Active sessions may not be affected by this issue,” meaning that it only affects users who are not already logged in.

Microsoft said that services began recovering at 1.52pm and that it was “receiving reports that users are experiencing service restoration” by 2.11pm.

The company experienced several Azure AD outages this year that prevented users from accessing cloud-hosted services and applications.
