How to enable god-mode access in Microsoft Windows 11

In certain circumstances, experienced users need access to more than basic Windows 11 settings. Enabling god-mode will allow access to almost every available setting.

One of the distinguishing features of Microsoft Windows 10 and Windows 11 is to restrict access to the many and varied configuration screens and settings built into the operating system. This convenient feature is designed to spare the average user from being overwhelmed by settings and options. But not all Windows users are common users, and power users often want to access everything at once.

With the help of a special folder and an official “unofficial” icon, power users, and anyone else who might be interested, can access dozens of configuration settings from a feature known as the Dashboard, which has been given the nickname “god-mode.” The main dashboard was there. In many versions of Windows but with each new one, including Windows 11, they require someone to enable access.

How to access God Mode in Windows 11

By default, the settings screen for Windows 11 appears in the format Figure A, reveals a limited number of commonly used configuration and customization screens. For most users, the items listed in the Windows 11 settings screen are sufficient to accomplish the usual tasks, but sometimes, users need to access many other settings.

To enable access to the main control panel (god-mode), we need to create a new shortcut on the Windows 11 desktop. Right-click on an empty spot on the desktop and select New | folder as shown in Figure B.

When Windows 11 asks you for the name of the new folder (Figure C), type or copy and paste this code, then press Enter:

The name and icon associated with your new folder will disappear and be replaced by the Windows 11 Control Panel icon. Double-click on the new Control Panel folder, as shown in figure dYou will be able to access dozens of configurations and settings for Windows 11.

As you might imagine with something called God Mode, the sheer number of settings available in this one folder can be a bit confusing. But because these settings are located in a folder, the settings titles are searchable and the settings themselves are categorized for easy access.

It is also important to note that the items included in the god-mode folder are shortcuts and can therefore be moved and copied to other folders for easy access. For example, if you’re trying to troubleshoot a specific network problem, you might want to copy the network settings you need to work into a separate folder, where they can then be easily located and accessed when you need them.

When the Dashboard folder is enabled, these settings shortcuts will be available to move or copy to other folders as desired. This feature allows experienced users to create and access configuration toolkits. So while Microsoft may want to spare the average user many settings, power users can use god-mode to find exactly the configuration they’ve been looking for and easily access it indefinitely.
