Abu Dhabi, June 6, 2021 (WAM) – Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, will launch seasonal flights to Mykonos and Santorini, the most popular islands in Greece, and the famous southern Spanish cities of Malaga and Andalusia.

Mykonos will operate from July 8 to September 11, 2021, and Santorini from July 9 to September 12, 2021. Both locations benefit from direct two-week Airbus A320 service.

With the establishment of a safe travel corridor between the United Arab Emirates and Greece, fully vaccinated people are now more likely to travel without isolation. Travelers can taste Mykonos’ Mediterranean cuisine or admire Santorini’s unique architecture. More than four hours from Abu Dhabi, Etihad’s new flights to the Greek islands complete the existing service to Athens.

As Spain prepares to reopen vaccinated international travelers from June 7, 2021, Etihad will launch new flights to Malaga twice a week from July 9 to September 15, 2021. Flights to Malaga will operate the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, with affordable space and seating options for people without neighbors.

The new service will provide more choice and convenience for travelers between the United Arab Emirates and Spain, and Etihad will now serve three locations between the two countries: Barcelona, Madrid and Malaga.

Mykonos, Santorini and Malaga are the best places for Etihad guest members who want to reclaim well-earned miles. Members have access to the best value destinations with their miles and numerous vehicle and hotel partners to meet travel needs.

Etihad is expanding its network by adding services and frequencies to key markets as border controls are relaxed and secure travel corridors are established. Today’s announcement of the Greek Islands and Malaga follows the recent resumption of services to Athens, Casablanca, Nairobi, Phuket, Rabat and the Seychelles.
