Since the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 chip doesn’t have much room to upgrade, a performance boost should be achieved via memory. On NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090T so it should Micron . GDDR6X Graphics Memory are installed.
The fourth variant of the GA102 chip is installed on the Nvida GeForce RTX 3090 Ti. The 256 extra cuda cores in the GA102-350 compared to the GA102-300 are not significant given the already large number. In fact, additional performance can only be achieved by increasing the clock rate of the chip and video memory. While no information has been revealed yet about the graphics clock, silence is broken when it comes to memory. At least this was communicated by Uniko devices via Twitter.
For the first time, Micron’s 16GB (2GB) chipset, branded MT61K512M32KPA-21U, will be installed on the RTX 3090 Ti. GDDR6X modules have a speed of 21 Gbps, increasing the bandwidth on the non-volatile interface from 936 GB/s to 1008 GB/s.

One of the advantages of the new units is that the manufacturer only needs to weld 12 instead of 24, ensuring that the active backplate can be dispensed with. The design in general should make it a little simpler. However, since the card should have a TDP of 450 watts, which is 100 watts more than a non-Ti, the coolant must again be very rich. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti is expected to be released in January 2022.
