A few days ago, Rick Osterloh, Head of Google Hardware, surprisingly presented a file Pixel 7 smartphones It announced and immediately released a series of submission images. These photos with confirmation are the only official information, but of course the leakers have done their work before and gave us a lot of information. Here you will find all the details known so far about the new smartphones from Google.
It’s no surprise that Google released the Pixel 7 after the Pixel 6. The fact that it was coming in the fall has been a foregone conclusion since the first generation, but it was surprising that it was shown at the developer conference in May thus stealing the show from other products. As a precaution, it has already been announced that more information will be released in the next few months in order to lure dropouts a bit out of their reserve.
New Pixel 7 smartphones have been circulating in leaky kitchens for several months, and it turns out that the leakers are back. The design Google showed off is pretty much what we saw in the early render images. The probability is very high that this also applies to all other information that has emerged in recent months. Specifications in particular are fixed several months before starting and cannot be changed easily.
Below you’ll find a list of all the information known so far, as well as some images from Google and leakers. This should give a realistic picture of what we can expect as a successor to the Pixel 6 smartphones in the fall.
Pixel 7

- an offer: 6.3 inches, 20:9

Pixel 7 Pro

- 50MP Wide Angle Camera with Octa PD and Quad Bayer
- 12MP Ultra Wide Angle Camera
- 48 MP camera with telephoto lens
These are the initial specs that have been put into action by several leakers and in fact it looks quite realistic. In fact, despite the changed chassis, nothing should be changed in the camera setup. Instead, the Pixel 7 should get some powerful new software tricks and only with the Pixel 8 will the sensors be replaced, added or otherwise attached to the camera body of Pixel smartphones.
There is not much that can be said about it, because smartphones basically remain true to their structure, the specifications are neither surprising nor unrealistic, and as far as other strengths are concerned, this cannot be said at the current stage. But it’s likely that the leakers will follow suit in the next few weeks and Google will follow suit with their own assurances. This has proven to be a good strategy in the past.
Below are the official images of the Pixel 7 smartphones published by Google.
Aside from the official images, everything is from the leaks, including the two videos above and of course the specifications. That said, you can probably get enough of an impression if you want to wait for the Pixel 7, hit the Pixel 6a soon or still want to get a Pixel 6. The latest one still looks pretty new, but somewhat outdated with the announcement of the Pixel 7. I think many can understand this classification 😉
We’ll keep you posted and I’ll be surprised if we can’t announce additional details later this month.
