The Windows Insider team has it in a nutshell Blog post announced. The new Windows 11 22H2 isn’t actually expected until the fall, but it could also start much earlier – because it looks like the Windows team has already made good progress with new functions and improvements.
Now might be a good time for that, even if Microsoft is relatively early on. There have already been rumors that Microsoft is not planning to release the functionality update until October of this year.

Microsoft has yet to comment on this, which is unusual. The new build 22621 is now available in the Release Preview channel. This means that first and foremost, participants in the Windows Business Insider Program can join beta testing. Enterprise customers are now invited to participate in pre-release testing and submit feedback.
But all Home license users can also get the new build by selecting the Release Preview channel and then manually checking for update in Settings / Windows Update / Optional Updates app.
