Nîmes: More than 4,000 runners are expected to participate in the Nîmes urban trail races

This Sunday, just before 8am, the top runners will roll off the starting line at the Allées Feuchères.

On Sunday, October 17, more than 4,200 runners from Allées Feuchères set out for 30, 20, 10 km races and Neem urban trail. This sixth edition, which is usually organized in February, has been exceptionally postponed due to the Covid crisis.

This morning, at seven in the morning, under ten degrees heat, in the dark night, the top runners flock in small groups towards the starting line set up in Fuchres.

Departure at Feucheres

Some wait in a warm quiet in the hall of the nearby SNCF station. As security agents exchange, others, aprons stuck to the trunk, begin to warm up before they happen around 8am in the airlock and depart for a 30-kilometre effort, discovering the local heritage and the crazy atmosphere of Hazelnut.

Departures for the various races will be from 7.45 am to 10.30 am, and participants will first cross the track of the circuit before climbing onto the roof of the Musée de la Romanité, a great modernity, to descend in and out of the gardens and along the ancient ramparts. Then he leaves the road towards the north of the city and its first difficulties.
