In Android 13, switching from headphones to speakers should be more fun

Android 12 has not yet reached most of the smartphones in circulation and we are already talking about the next iteration of Google’s operating system, aptly named Android 13.

Graphic Redesign

One of the things Mountain View will be working on might be a redesign of the Media or Audio Output menu for the Shortcuts pane.

This is a small menu that appears when you click on the music you are listening to. You are then offered to change the audio sources. Android 13 should simplify its design, and hopefully make it more intuitive and visible to users.

Since it came out on Android 10, Google has struggled to enforce it. Already reworked on Android 11. The bulk of the redesign will focus on the volume bar, which we can see in a screenshotAndroid Police. It will be similar to the very round material you are looking for everywhere on Android 12.

Additionally, it should be easier to tell if a device is disconnected with a single glance, because it will take on a passive transparency effect rather than just the word “offline” next to its name.
