Syria, an American base bombed by pro-Iranian forces
One of the US military bases in Syria was recently subjected to missile attack by pro-Iranian forces operating between Syria and Iraq. This came in a statement by the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an acronym that brings together Iraqi militias loyal to Iran.
The Houthis confirm the attack
Houthi spokesman Yahya Sarie told Al Masirah TV: “The Yemeni Navy fired an anti-ship missile at the American ship USS Lewis B. Puller on Sunday, January 28, while it was in the Gulf of Aden.” Al-Masirah TV is owned by the Houthis.
American soldiers were killed and Iran denies its involvement
Iran denied its involvement in the attack that killed three American soldiers in Jordan, or that it supported the militias responsible for it. This was stated by Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani, quoted by the IRNA news agency. Al-Kanaani said, “These accusations have specific political goals and are the heart of the reality in the region.”
