Dell has unveiled its latest generation XPS 15 (9520) and 17 (9720) laptops. Presentation of new computers that combine mobility and performance.
In 2021, the manufacturer took a leap forward with its line of 15- and 17-inch XPS laptops. He particularly introduced the OLED panel on some variants. Dell is now going even further and offering an optional touch screen display.
Thus, the 15-inch version can be rejected in three types of screens: the first 4K LCD touchscreen (3840 x 2400 pixels), another 3.5K OLED touchscreen (3456 x 2160 pixels) and the third not a FHD + LCD touchscreen. (1920 x 1200 pixels).
The XPS 17 offers a more limited choice: a 4K UHD+ touchscreen or a non-touch FHD+ display. OLED has not yet entered with such a diameter. Either way, the 15- and 17-inch XPS boasts 500 nits of brightness and 100% RGB color support, as well as 94% of the DCI-P3 gamut.

Whether the consumer chooses 15 or 17 inches, he can choose the power that suits him according to his needs, whether it is basic and productivity-centric or more advanced, for example, gaming or video editing. XPS 15 and 17 feature Intel Core 12 . processorse H series generation (Core i5, i7 or i9).
In terms of graphics power, the XPS 15 can offer up to a GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics card, while the XPS 17 goes even further with the optional GeForce RTX 3060. The RAM can also be modified upon purchase depending on the intended use of this PC: 8, 16, 32 or 64 GB of DDR5 RAM is available. Storage can be extended from 256 to 4TB (in SSD). In addition, the XPS 15’s autonomy is provided by a 56 or 86Wh battery. It still hits 97 watts per hour on the XPS 17.
Connectivity is also achieved in these two models with support for wifi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. On the port side, the necessary is present. The 15-inch model has two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB-C ports, an SD card reader, a 3.5 mm jack, and an HDMI 2 port, while the 17-inch model comes with four Thunderbolt 4 ports, a headphone jack, a USB-C port, and an HDMI 2 port.
Mobility as a secondary asset
These two laptops run Windows 11. They are particularly light and start at 1.81 kg for the XPS 15 and 2.21 kg for the XPS 17, allowing for portability despite the screen size.
It will be available from March 29th from €1,699 for the XPS 15 and €2,599 for the XPS 17. Note that you will have to wait until April to be able to get the 17-inch with the GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card.
