Some of the rest are for Russian mercenaries. The leader and founder of the Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, gave his men a vacation until the beginning of August. This was announced on Telegram by Anton Elizarov, nom de guerre “Lotus”, the military commander of the Wagner unit that occupied the Ukrainian city of Solidar. “We were all sent on vacation until the beginning of August, and there are many tasks to be done, so Yevgeny (Prigozhin, ed.) decided to let everyone rest,” Elizarov’s words to journalist Timofey Ermakov.

Prigozhin put his family on vacation before moving to Belarus following an agreement reached with President Alexander Lukashenko, who arrived after the coup in Russia. Once back from vacation, we explained, “We have to prepare institutions, training camps, coordinate with local governments and administrations, organize interaction with the Belarusian police forces, and establish logistics,” says Yevgeny Prigozhin’s Telegram channel.
