Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel is a free game from Konami available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, Steam and mobile. The game follows the traditional TCG format, but since it is available on many platforms, many newcomers are trying it out for the first time. So what’s the best starting set to choose from in the Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel between Power of the Dragon, Synchro of Unity, and Link Generation?
Now you may be wondering what is the best beginner deck for Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel. After completing the tutorial and learning the basics, you will be presented with three platform options. Your choice here doesn’t matter much, as you’ll be able to get the decks you didn’t select by completing in-game missions. As for which one to choose, if you’re someone who knows Yu-Gi-Oh, you’ll probably pick the one you like the most or maybe the one you haven’t played before. We will give an overview of each group below.
Yu-Gi-Oh Master Dowell Starter Floors
- Dragon power
- Unit sync
- link generation
Dragon power
A powerful deck that focuses on dragon-type monsters with high attack power, such as the “Blue-Eyes White Dragon”. If you have all the fusion materials on the field and summon the King Dragun, you will be well protected! The Dragon’s deck isn’t very good overall, except maybe Silver’s Cry and Blue-Eyes.

Unit sync
The deck focuses on warrior-type monsters. Once the conditions are met, Synchro summons a monster like the Junk Warrior to boost your attack points! The Synchro of Unity deck is probably the best of the three because of the three mysterious space tornadoes, some Synchro monsters, and Junks. If you’re torn between what to pick, Synchro of Unity is probably the most popular option.

link generation
A deck that uses Cyberse Monsters for strength-boosting capabilities. Go on the offensive and use the “Decode Talker” to block the effects that target the cards in your field! Link building might not seem like many good cards, but it’s probably the most valuable at first. Decoding can be tricky to craft, and Link Spider can come in handy.
