Chrome adds new options for working with groups of tabs

Google Chrome is testing a new feature that will make it easier to work with groups of tabs.

If you are one of those who bundle open browser tabs to work more comfortably while browsing the web, you will find the new dynamic suggested by Chrome interesting.

New apps for tab groups in Chrome

One of the functions provided by the Google browser is the ability to create groups of tabs. It’s as simple as choosing “Add tab to group”, typing a name and choosing a color. And then you can add any tab with just drag and drop.

Simple dynamic that allows you to group all tabs by topic. In addition, it saves you space in the browser bar, where you can collapse and expand the tabs included in the group. Dynamic you can also apply using bookmark folders.

Yes, those folders that you usually create from favorites that you keep in Google Chrome. As mentioned by a user at redditChrome is testing the ability to create groups with all tabs saved in bookmarks folders. An option that can already be seen in the Google Chrome Canary version.

Now if we right-click on a bookmark folder, we will find the options “Open all”, “Open all in a new tab” or “Open all in an incognito window”. But with the Canary update, “Open all in a new group” is added.

So you can send bookmarks folder tabs directly to the group. When this option is selected, Chrome will automatically open the options to add a title to the group and set the color for it. A simple system that will save you a few steps.

On the other hand, another novelty that comes into Canary is that groups also appear in the history quick menu. Now if we take a look at this section, we will find that only recently closed tabs are allowed individually. But this dynamic could change in the future, as we can also open groups of tabs from the history.
