In response to the latest comments by Federica Mogherini, the EU foreign policy chief, Abbas Araghchi, deputy to the Iranian FM, has said: “A sentence in the preamble of the JCPOA Iran nuclear agreement states that the complete implementation of the JCPOA can play a part in the peace and security of the region and the world.”

An Iranian couple have won the Short Film Award in the international category of 5th Indian International Deaf Film Festival 2017.
“Melody” is directed by Fatemeh Lotfi and Behruz Ghassemi. The screening also drew a large, welcoming audience.

Three World Craft Cities Registered for Iran
This week will see the registration of three cities in Iran as World Craft Cities. These are Kalpurgan, Sirjan, and Marivan. Yesterday, the ceremony was held for Kalpurgan. Tomorrow Sirjan will be registered as a World Kilim City, followed by Marivan next week as a World Kalash City. The ceremonies are attended by the President of the World Crafts Council-Asia Pacific Region (WCC-APR).

China ready to invest in oil and petrochemicals in Iran
Iran’s Minister of Petroleum, Bijan Zangeneh, met for talks with Wang Yang Gao, Chief of China’s International Chamber of Commerce yesterday.
At the meeting, Yang Gao pointed out the extensive trade ties between Iran and China, and stated: “China needs energy resources and our old friend, Iran, is rich in these resources. This can help expand ties between the two countries.”

Iran exports to Malaysia grows fivefold
Iran exports to Malaysia has grown fivefold over the past eight months as compared to a similar period last year.
The latest reports by the IR of Iran customs office on trade in the past eight months show that 434 thousand and 675 tons of commodities have been exported from Iran to Malaysia, comprising 0.55% of Iran’s total export weight.
