(Persia Digest) – Shooting of two-time Oscar winner’s new movie in Spain, Asghar Farhaid’s “Everybody Knows” (Todos Lo Saben), will wrap up in four weeks as the brothers Almodovars have announced that they have left its production.
As reported by La Cadena Ser network in Spain, Pedro and Agustin Almodovar confirmed their separation at the Seville Film Festival from Farhadi’s production. Agustin explained that due to differences of opinion, it was decided to terminate the contract before pre-production while there was still time.
Almodovar expressed happiness that the filming has continued and plans to see it once it is finished.
Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem star in Farhadi’s new drama. Filming began in September in Spain and it was going to be produced by Pedro and Agustin Almodovar’s El Deseo and sold by Memento Film.
Announcing the news, the PR of “Everbody Knows” explained that: “The decision was taken prior to the start of filming in May.”
The reason for the separation was cited as a disagreement over the budget. Therefore, the decision was taken before pre-production began with El Deseo. The project began its pre-production stage with another Spanish company as the producer.
