Persia Digest Iran film week takes place in Beijing with a lineup of six movies, simultaneously with the 24th Beijing Book Fair. According to ISNA, the lineup includes ‘The Salesman’ directed by Asghar Farhadi, ‘Shirin’ by Abbas Kiarostami, ‘Rage’ by Amir Ahmad Ansari, ‘I’ by Soheil Beiraghi, ‘Groove 143’ by Nargues Abyar, and ‘Jamehdaran’ by Hamidreza Qotbi.
The Iranian film week is taking place at the Chinese National Museum, in conjunction with the opening of the Iranian pavilion at the Beijing Book Fair. Representatives from the audio visual department of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and the IRI cultural attaché in Beijing will be present at the screening, together with high-ranking cultural attachés and artists from both countries.
The 24th Beijing Book Fair is from August 23-17.
