(Persia Digest) – Tehran’s choir group has made it to the top of the list as the best choir in the Middle East. Farzad Omidi, professor of music and member of “Tehran Avazi Choir”, said: “Competing in the 6th ChoirFest Middle East with Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the UAE, and other countries, Iran was able to take the title and top award at the Festival. It was selected as the best choral group of 2018 and the Middle East.”
“Tehran Avazi Choir” was founded in 2005, supervised by Milad Omranlu. Over the past 12 years, it has held many concerts and performances in festivals in Iran and abroad.
Two albums – Vocapella and Vocapella 2 – have been released by the choir. Members are Pegah Einakchi, Solmaz Javanbakht, Mahgol Safdari, Yalda Nouri, Sadaf Bahram Javidi, Seyed Reza Seyedi, Navid Nasehifar, Navid Yazdanian, Mohammad Haghighi, Farzad Omidi, and Kia Rokni.
