(Persia Digest) – Iran’s Petroleum Minister has said: “The sustainable supply of oil to customers is one of Iran’s best services and no other country has the capacity to replace Iranian oil on the demanding global oil market.”
In an interview with Tasnim, Bijan Zangeneh said: “For as long as the US is sanctioning Iran as one of the world’s largest oil suppliers, turmoil on the market will continue.”
Nevertheless, he emphasized: “Iran's oil exports are unstoppable.”
In answer to whether “we are faced with problems in retaining production and preventing a drop in existing production,” he answered: “Not at all. We have no problems with retaining production or preventing drop, because ongoing planning is being implemented in this area.”
Persia Digest (PD) reports that Zangeneh commented about the global oil market last week, saying: “Trump is bullying the market into lowering prices at a time when it is faced with supply shortages. Market balance can only be established with increased supply and prices cannot be kept down with slogans and bullying. The sanctions imposed by the United States are behind spiking prices. Lift the sanctions to lower the prices.”
