(Persia Digest) – In his meeting with the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Iran, the Minister of Culture of Armenia invited Iran to participate in a similar exhibition in Armenia at the opening ceremony of the Armenian Cultural Week in Iran.
Armin Amirian, referring to Yerevan being selected as the world's cultural capital in 2018, formally invited Seyed Abbas Salehi to attend the event as a special guest.
Referring to the agreement last week between the Farabi Cinema Foundation and the Armenian Cinema Affairs, he called for its provisions to become operational.
The Minister of Culture of Armenia also expressed his thanks for holding successful Armenian film weeks in Iran and vice versa, and hoped that this will become an annual event considering the positive feedbacks.
He announced his country’s readiness for foreign investors to build and equip cinema theatres in Armenia.
Armin Amirian referred to the good capacities of music in Iran and suggested that a joint Iranian-Armenian symphony orchestra be organized. He also proposed the launch of a joint music festival in cooperation with Armenia, Georgia, and Iran.
Salehi, the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance for Iran, said all these suggestions were constructive and applicable, and added: “Creating a joint Symphony orchestra from both countries is possible and exchanging conductors can also be considered.”
