(Persia Digest) – Iran’s Deputy Petroleum Minister has announced that oil exports to Russia will resume soon following the resolution of banking problems and opening of L/Cs.
About payment methods, Ali Kardar said: “Fifty percent of the oil revenue will be paid in euros and the remainder will be paid in goods and services as agreed by both governments.”
The Russian state company Promo Serio will begin imports of oil in the near future. Both sides have agreed on 100 thousand barrels a day to be exported from Iran to Russia.
Russian President Vladimir Putin will be traveling to Iran soon. Some reports say that cooperation between the two countries in the energy sector will also be discussed.
