Turkish company investment in Izeh Petrochemicals
An MoU has been signed between Khuzestan Province Governorate, southwestern Iran, and the Turkish Gama Enerji company. At the signing ceremony, Turkish Gama Enerji representative acting on behalf of the CEO relayed his company’s interest in investing in Khuzestan, and said: “Our company began its activities in Iran 18 months ago and we have been interested in making a large investment here.”
“Koocheh Music Festival ” in Bushehr
The first special program of the “Koocheh Music Festival” began in Bushehr yesterday, provincial capital of Bushehr Province, southern Iran. The show will go on until 16 March with the performance of folk music from around Iran. Last week also saw the celebration of Bushehri music festival on the occasion of Bushehr Day, accompanied by folk songs.
Iran and India sign oil MoU
An MoU has been signed between Iran's Industrial Development and Renovation Organization (IDRO) and the Indian Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited ONGC VIDISH for the development of the Susangerd oilfield in the southern Khuzestan Province of Iran. IDRO CEO, Nasrollah Zare’ei, said: “A similar MoU has been signed with the Russian Zarubezhneft petrochemical company and, together with the MoU signed with India, we intend to form a consortium.”
Mahnaz Karimi breaks Middle East swimming record
Mahnaz Karimi, swimmer from Khuzestan Province, has broken the Middle East record in the “Helal” swimming pool in Ahvaz. Mahnaz Karimi swam for 25 hours nonstop without using her arms to break the record in Iran and the Middle East and add to the achievements of Iranian women athletes.
90-day tourist visas issued on arrival in Ahvaz
Deputy Governor of Khuzestan Province has said: “Tourist visas will be issued on arrival in the southern city of Ahvaz for 180 countries; this can be extended for up to three years.”
