(Persia Digest) – A group of seven illegal hunters from the Persian Gulf Arab states have been arrested in Pasargadae carrying four weapons and other hunting gear.

Kayhan newspaper reports that the hunters had two pellet shotguns, one firearm, and another weapon with 91 shots, one light projector, four spotlights, two binoculars, and a dead cuckoo bird and two greenfinches.

The illegal hunters had a local guide. They had entered Pasargadae village with two cars when the environmental protection unit stopped both cars and arrested the hunters. Their case has been referred to the courts.
