(Persia Digest) – Reports indicate that visas for a number of Iranian students in the US have been canceled without prior notice. No authorities have been answerable.

The Head of the Academic Affairs Organization in Iran has said: “Recently, three graduate students who were planning to study in the United States have been invited to a third country for more interviews despite receiving a visa and financial support from their universities.”

Mojtaba Sedighi added: “One of the students was informed of this at the airport and the other two students were told before making arrangements.”

Sedighi stated that the Iranian Foreign Ministry had informed the Ministry of Science, reiterating: “These students had received financial support from their universities.”

Persia Digest (PD) reports that obstacles are created by the US administration for Iranian students wising to study in this country. US authorities have repeatedly claimed that they are not against the Iranian people and the sanctions are imposed on their government.
