(Persia Digest) – A photograph of the Supreme Leader of Iran at the Tehran Book Fair has attracted the attention of foreign media.

Persia Digest reports that the photograph shows the Supreme Leader reading “Fire and Fury” by Michael Wolff. This has met with reactions in the US media.

CBS writes: “Iran Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei shared an image of himself reading the Persian-language edition of Michael Wolff's 2018 book "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House" on Friday, just days after President Trump pulled the U.S. out of the Iran nuclear agreement.”

CBS continues its report: “Earlier this week, Khamenei responded to Mr. Trump's announcement about the Iran deal by saying his speech contained "over 10 lies," without elaborating on what they were. He also said Mr. Trump's remarks threatened both Iran's people and its theocratic government.”

"The body of this man, Trump, will turn to ashes and become the food of the worms and ants, while the Islamic Republic continues to stand," Khamenei said.

ABC News also reported: “Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was seen holding a Farsi edition of Michael Wolff's "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House," in a post on his website Friday.”

New York Daily News wrote: “The US President has said the book is full of lies.” It also referred to comments by the Supreme Leader following a US withdrawal from the JCPOA.

The Hill wrote: “Iran Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Friday trolled President Trump by sharing a photo of himself reading the controversial tell-all book on the president's administration, just days after Trump backed out of a nuclear accord with the country.”

Khamenei's photo showed him reading author Michael Wolff's 2018 bestseller, "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House" — a book that rocked Washington and the international community with its provocative descriptions of the commander in chief and his inner circles.”

Yahoo News also published the photo as its top news.
