(Persia Digest) – “Iran: The cradle of civilization” expo will begin in the Netherlands in the month of June, displaying 196 artifacts from the National Museum of Iran.
The expo will run 17 June-18 November 2018 in Drents Museum. The 196 artifacts on display here have been assessed and insured by the Museum experts.
An MoU has been signed between the two museums along the policies of cultural and research works between Iran and the Netherlands, asking the Iranian cabinet to give temporary license for the removal of the 196 items to the Netherlands.
Items from the Paleolithic era up until the mid-Islamic period made of bones, bricks, terracotta, rocks, glass, bitumen, paper, adobe, clay, and shells will be taken to the Netherlands for the expo.
The artifacts have been insured by foreign companies approved by the Iran Central Insurance. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has approved their legal immunity and the Dutch party has covered the costs.
