(Persia Digest) - The 11th International Tourism Exhibition of Tehran hosted more than 500 foreign and domestic tourism companies, and local music bands also attended the exhibition from 27 provinces of the country.
The 11th International Tourism Exhibition of Tehran ended its work last night. This international exhibition displayed the strengths of tourism in Iran through diverse local customs, traditions, and music. An effort was made to present this cultural diversity with the invitation and presence of local music bands from 27 provinces.
To this end, the ceremonial bands from Iranian tribes gathered in the capital, and performed music and dance programs till the end of the week. The performances of this section are one of the most popular parts of the exhibition every year.
The Tehran International Fair grounds was the venue for musical performances and ritual dances of six provinces every morning from 10h00. Local dances of Jiroft and Kerman, ceremonies of Sistan and Baluchestan, Bushehr, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad and Bakhtiari nomads, and children’s dance performances from Golestan, Ardabil, and East and West Azarbaijan provinces were among some of the native performances. A Musical Carnival traveling in Qajar carriages was also one of the other attractions of the 11th Tourism Exhibition.
The exhibition was well-received by Iranians and foreign guests, and the music and dance programs were among the most popular parts of the exhibition.
