The Iranian folk costume festival and exhibition will open in Karaj from 13 May. Iranian folk costumes, which are designed according to the culture, historical background and cultural identity of different ethnic groups, can still be used in today’s fashion if they are altered to look more modern.
Olive green color of the year in Iranian fashion
Color is a defining factor in design and the choice of clothing. The global fashion industry goes to lengthy measures every year to select a particular color for men, women, and children’s fashion, not necessarily in tune with the culture, climate, and individuality of those who wear it worldwide. This year, however, the organizers of the 7th Fajr Fashion Festival in Tehran have announced in an innovative move that the color of the year will be olive green here – a color close to parts of nature and climatic conditions of Iran.
7th Fajr Fashion and Clothing Festival in 22 provinces
The 7th Fajr Fashion and Clothing Festival will run from 25 February to 4 March 2018 in 22 provinces. This year, the folk costume section of the Fajr Fashion and Clothing Festival will be held for the second year running in the capital and across the country.
Fashion show reviving Iranian culture
The 7th Fajr International Fashion Festival will take place in Iran in February. New designs and fashions organized by the state are put on show here. Private fashion houses and hotspot have also been active in Iran for long years and have found a footing on the social networks.
Iranian designers in 12 international events
Iran’s Fashion and Clothing Working Group Secretary said: “Over the past year and a half, Iranian designers have taken part in 12 international events to gain experience on global fashion.”
