(Persia Digest) – An Iran film festival in Pakistan will be screening five films in Karachi and at the Royal Palm Golf and Country Club in Lahore. The lineup includes “The bodyguard”, “A cube of sugar”, “Crazy rook”, “Very far, very near”, and “Where are my shoes”.
The festival opened with “The bodyguard” and will continue with “Very far, very near” by Reza Mir-Karimi, “A cube of sugar” by Reza Mir-Karimi, “Crazy rook” by Abol-Hassan Davoudi, and “Where are my shoes” by Kiumars Pourahmad.
Simultaneously with the festival, a week of Iranian films also opened at the Iranian Cultural Center in Karachi with “The willow tree”.
This film has been a hit in Pakistan, where Iranian movies are popular due to the common culture, history, and language among the two nations.
December 2017 also saw a four-day Iranian film festival at the Pakistan National Art Gallery and Pakistan National Council of the Arts in Islamabad.
