(Persia Digest) – The comedy titled “Begou magou” [Quarrel] directed by Alireza Khamseh, Iranian actor and director, will premiere on the American stage on the first leg of its world tour.
Talking about his play, Khamseh said: “The script is a free take of playwright Eugene Ionesco’s play. Ehsan Karami and myself are the actors and we will start our tour on 2 December in Oklahoma.”
The play will continue its tour in San Jose, Washington, San Diego, Chicago, New York, and a number of other US cities.
It will then go to Canada and Europe and wrap up in Tehran and a few other cities in Tehran.
Khamseh is a well-known actor of the Iranian cinema, theater, and television. He features mainly in comedies and has won the Crystal Simorgh of the 27th Fajr Film Festival in 2008 for best supporting actor in “Twenty”.
