(Persia Digest) - A joint meeting of the Qatari delegation with Kish Island managers in Iran has taken place to discuss tourism and investment.
Reinstating flights between Kish and Doha, and the possibility of Qatar Airways offering services and equipment to Iranian flights were also discussed.
Qatar also stated that, following disagreements between this country and other Persian Gulf states, it is interested in designating Kish Island as a weekend resort for its holidaymakers.
It has been decided that the Qatari delegation visit the Island to assess the infrastructure of its airport, and the possibility of building a hotel in Kish.
Following an official invitation extended to Sheikh Nawaf Al Thani, the Head of tourism investment and hotel association’s chief will travel to Kish Island and assess the Island’s investment and hotel sector.
