(Persia Digest) – A band with autism and down syndrome performers will be staging a concert titled “A song from another world”, composed by Rahi Sinaki. Proceeds will be donated to cancer patients.
Persia Digest reports that “A song from another world” by the band is scheduled for 13 August 2018 at Vahdat Hall.
The center piece of the concert will be an improvisation created by the children on the spot as they go along. They will also be the conductors. Pieces of the music are given to the composer by the children as pieces of a puzzle.
Autism is a range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication. It is also called ASD.
Down Syndrome is a congenital disorder arising from a chromosome defect, causing intellectual impairment and physical abnormalities. It arises from a defect involving chromosome 21, usually an extra copy (trisomy-21).
