(Persia Digest) – Pointing to Trump’s offer of talks, the Iranian President has said: “The US has eliminated grounds for talks. We were on a good negotiating trend, but it destroyed all the bridges and is now standing on the other side saying how must we cross!?”

Addressing the Americans, Hassan Rouhani said: “If you intended to cross, why did you destroy everything? If you wanted to meet, why did you destroy all the bridges behind you?” “They have destroyed all the bridges and are now standing on the other side shouting. This is not the way to go. If you mean it, you must reconstruct the bridge. Once the bridge is there, passage will take place naturally. You are the agents and destroyers of it all.”

Persia Digest reports that, two days ago, Iran’s Supreme Leader also said there will be no talks with the US, stating: "Even if it was possible to negotiate with the Americans, we would certainly not negotiate with the current government."

Donald Trump who withdrew unilaterally from the 2015 JCPOA Iran nuclear deal recently has announced his readiness to negotiate with Iran without pre-conditions.
