(Persia Digest) – The short animation “Run Rostam Run” by Hossein Molayemi, has been screened at two international festivals in Italy and Australia.
The animation has reached the final stage of the Visioni Corte Film Festival in Italy out of 1032 works from 55 countries.
The Festival will run 15-22 October 2018 in Minturno, Italy.
The animation is also a candidate for the Golden Ghazal Award from the International Persian Film Festival of Australia which will run from 30 August to 9 September in Sydney and Melbourne, organized by Amin Palangui.
“Run Rostam Run” is a free, satirical take of the “Rostam and Shorab” tragedy in the “Shahnameh” Book of Kings epic poem, in which Persia’s national hero, Rostam, must travel to the future and today’s Tehran to compensate for what he did to his son, Sohrab. Once in Tehran, he cannot decide whether to take the legal path to reach his legitimate goal, or the illegal path.
Persia Digest reports that Rostam is Iran’s legendary hero in Ferdowsi’s “Shahnameh”. He is the symbol of heroism and chivalry in Iranian culture.
