Mansour Mahdizadeh joins WWE Hall of Fame
Former Iranian freestyle world wrestling champion, Mansour Mahdizadeh has been placed in the WWE Hall of Fame. The World Wrestling Federation has written to Iran’s Wrestling Federation to inform them that Mansour Mahdizadeh is now part of the Hall of Fame. He has three gold and one bronze world medals and an Asian Games gold medal. He ranked fourth at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics.
International Museum Day
May 18 is the International Museum Day. On this day, which is on Friday next week, visiting all the museums will be free of charge in Iran and the museums will be open until 22h00.

MoU signed between Iran and EAEU
The Russian Prime Minister, Dmitry Medvedev, has signed a 4-year MoU to establish a free trade zone between Iran and the Eurasian Economic Union. The interim agreement was published online on the Russian government’s official website yesterday, whereby Iran and the EAEU will operate a free trade zone for a period of four years.

Iran's economy ranked 156th freest among 180 countries in the Heritage Foundation Index of Economic Freedom, and ranked “mostly unfree”. The Heritage Foundation ranked the economy of 180 countries based on their degree of freedom, according to which six countries including Hong Kong with a score of 90.2, Singapore with a score of 88.2, New Zealand with a score of 84.2, Switzerland with a score of 81.7, Australia with a score of 80.9 and Ireland with a score of 80.4, are the world's freest economies.
Girls protesting compulsory hijab
Tehran and some other cities in Iran have seen protests by young girls to the compulsory hijab in recent days. They stand on a high platform, take off their white or colorful head covers, and hang them on a pole.
Tuition-free universities for the disabled
After the adoption of a bill to support people with disabilities, they can study at universities across Iran for free.
Based on the bill for the Protection of Disabled Persons, those who qualify can attend higher education centers tuition-free with no age limitations. These centers include those of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, Ministry of Health and Medical Education, Islamic Azad University, and all other state and private centers who receive an annual budget for the project.
90-day tourist visas issued on arrival in Ahvaz
Deputy Governor of Khuzestan Province has said: “Tourist visas will be issued on arrival in the southern city of Ahvaz for 180 countries; this can be extended for up to three years.”
