(Persia Digest) – Professor Majid Samii, top Iranian-German neurosurgeon, has inaugurated a 1000 bed hospital in Schenchi county in China named after him.
The Samii Medical Center is a state hospital constructed on the previous site of Julong Hospital in Ping Shan new territory in 68 thousand square meters.
This 1000 bed hospital encompasses all medical fields, including 200 beds for neurosurgery sciences.
In the words of Professor Samii, the Chinese government has decided to follow the guidelines of Professor Samii to run the hospital. All the physicians here will be handpicked by Professor Samii to head its different specialized wards.
The hospital is designed in the shape of a hand. The “palm” is the hub and the “fingers” are its different wards. In the first inauguration phase, the hospital will function as an outpatient center prior to becoming fully operational in the near future.
The Chinese government has named the hospital after Professor Samii in acknowledgment of his lifetime achievements in neurosurgery.
