(Persia Digest) - “Fanny and Alexander" film studio and producer of the period drama written and directed by Ingmar Bergman is coming to Iran to hold a specialized workshop at the Fajr International Film Festival.
Finnish film critique, Jörn Johann Danner, will be running the cinema workshop at the 36th Fajr International Film Festival. He entered the international stage by producing “Fanny and Alexander" in 1982, winning a total of four awards in 1984, including the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, making Danner the only Finnish winner of the award to date. His novel, “Father and Son”, also won the Finlandia Prize prestigious literary award.
His filmmaking skills have also won him the award for Best Short film “A Sunday in September” at the Venice Film Festival.
He went to the Moscow International Film Festival Competition section with “Armi Alive!” in 2015, a film about the founder of the iconic Finnish design company Marimekko.
