(Persia Digest) – Six new Knowledge-based medications were unveiled yesterday morning at a ceremony by the Iranian Minister of Health.
Another nine new drugs made in Iran were also unveiled last week. The six introduced yesterday included a Royal Jelly syrup that can be used for a number of preventions and cures, two gel injection drugs for the joints, biologic dressings, and two raw materials for primary hepatitis treatment. These have been manufactured and marketed in Iran for the first time.
Speaking about the above, the Health Minister said: “We had already introduced a drug for treating hepatitis at a fraction of the cost of the imported drug. Today, we have also manufactured the raw material in the country.”
The Head of the National Communicable Disease Surveillance Center of the Iranian Health Ministry also launched the Sina Ampholish topical gel as a substitute for foreign drugs in the treatment of cutaneous leishmaniasis (tropical sore). This Nano product can be used instead of foreign drugs to counter obstacles in importing drugs and raw materials due to sanctions. This can lead the way in developing the market for this technology and be a seal of approval for the performance of this Iranian product.
