(Persia Digest) – The harvest of the golden clusters of wheat begins in the summer every year.
Wheat crops are planted by both dry and irrigated cultivation methods, usually in early fall. In the irrigated cultivation method, the farm is irrigated several times in the autumn until the field becomes fully green, then it is irrigated several times in the spring, and finally the harvest of these golden clusters begins in Hamedan in the mid-summer.
In the current crop year, more than 392,500 hectares of agricultural land in Hamedan has been allocated to wheat cultivation.
Exemplary farmers in Hamedan Province harvest more than twelve tons of wheat per hectare and it is expected that eight hundred thousand tons of wheat will be harvested from these farms.
