Iranian political representatives attacked in Europe

Four men, supporters of Ayatollah Sadegh Shirazi, climbed on the balcony of the Iranian Embassy in London on Friday afternoon, 9 March 2018, took down the Iranian flag, and rose their own flag in an apparent protest to the arrest of Ayatollah Shirazi’s son resident in the holy city of Qom in the north of Iran. Grand Ayatollah Sadegh Shirazi is a critic of the Iranian government. Following the arrest of his son, protests were also staged in Karbala, central Iraq.

The 13th Organization of Islamic Cooperation Conference has issued a statement to wrap up its work. The statement declares that, while the US insists on its wrongful decision to transfer its embassy to Quds, members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation who have political and economic ties with the Zionist regime will suspend these.
