(Persia Digest) – The Museum of Contemporary Art in Tehran will be screening five films by renowned directors from 5-20 December 2017 in an event entitled “Towards Creative Nonfiction”.
As announced by the Museum PR, its cinematheque program for the fall film season will screen the creative nonfiction movies in its last part, organized by Mohammadreza Farzad. These include “Elena” directed by Petra Košta and produced in Brazil in 2012, "Heart of a Dog" directed by Lori Anderson and produced in the US in 2016, “Bloody Sundays and Strawberry Pies” directed by Coco Schrijber and produced in Holland in 2000, “Under the Sun” directed by Vitaly Mansky and produced in Germany in 2015, and “Leviathan” directed by Lucien Castaing-Taylor and Véréna Paravel, produced in France in 2013.
“Elena” directed by Petra Košta will be screened on Tuesday 5 December at 17h00 for 81 minutes in the original language with Persian subtitles, selected by Mohammadreza Farzad. It is about a young Brazilian girl who moves to NY with her dream of becoming an actress. The film brings together documentary boundaries and video journalism in a traumatic narrative.
