(Persia Digest) – The Iranian Foreign Minister who was in Moscow early Monday morning has left for Brussels to carry on with his talks on the JCPOA with his counterparts.

Javad Zarif met with FM Lavrov in Moscow to discuss the continuation of the JCPOA and secure its benefits for the Iranian nation.

The latest move by the US President to withdraw from the JCPOA, the future of the deal, the dangerous move to move the US Embassy to Jerusalem, the actions of the Zionist regime in Syria, an assessment of the Syrian developments based on the Astana peace talks and Iran, Turkey, and Russia’s role together with the UN were some of the topics discussed by the foreign ministers of the two countries.

Zarif’s trip began on Saturday night. His first stop was Beijing where he met with his Chinese counterpart.

After meeting with Lavrov, he flew to Belgium to meet with the French, German, and British foreign ministers today, Tuesday, and the EU Foreign Affairs Chief, Federica Mogherini. Zarif has already outlined Iran’s stance towards the JCPOA after the US exit prior to leaving for Brussels in a letter to Federica Mogherini.

He also wrote a letter earlier to the United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres about the future of the JCPOA and the violation of this international agreement by the United States.
