(Persia Digest) – Iranian footballer, Alireza Jahanbakhsh, expressed his delight for become the top scorer in the Dutch premier league and said he was expecting bigger challenges in his football life.
The 2017-2018 season in the Netherlands drew to a conclusion with nine games taking place at the same time.
Alireza Jahanbakhsh, from Iran’s Team Melli, was able to take the title of top goalscorer while he played as a wide midfielder.
He gained the title with 21 goals and is on his way to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Alireza had this to say about becoming Holland’s top goalscorer: “I did my best from the very first week to help my team. Scoring and assisting is a great feeling and I am happy to become the top scorer on the last day of the season.”
About the next season, he said: “I am ready for bigger challenges in my professional life, but have had no talks with by manager yet. I have great ambitions and pursue bigger dreams. But first of all, I wanted to finish the season on a good note.”
Alireza Jahanbakhsh is currently the only AZ Alkmaar club player who has not joined the team’s recreational camp and wants to visit his family back in Iran and join the Team Melli training camp for the upcoming 2018 World Cup.
