(Persia Digest) - Iranian Greco-Roman wrestlers claimed the title of the 2019 Asian Wrestling Championship on Sunday winning four gold medals and three bronzes, and a total of 165 points.
Mehr News reports that on Sunday, Mohammad Reza Geraei won the gold medal in the 72kg and Saeid Abdevali also took Iran’s fourth gold in the 82kg category.
Earlier on Saturday Hossein Nouri and Amir Ghasemi Monjezi claimed two gold medals in the 87kg and 130kg categories while Saman Abdevali in the 63kg and Mohammad Ali Geraei in the 77kg categories earned two bronze medals.
The 2019 edition of Asian Wrestling Championships wrapped up today in China’s Xi’an.
Earlier, Iranian wrestlers had claimed the title of Freestyle competitions as well.

The national Iranian men's weightlifting team has become the runners-up of Asian championships with 705 points.
At the end of the 2019 Asian Weightlifting Championships in Ningbo, China today, the Iranian men's team ranked second after collecting 705 points.
The Iranian weightlifters bagged seven gold medals, seven silver, and three bronze to become the runners-up.
China was crowned with 716 points while South Korea claimed third place with 633 points.
This was the 48th edition of the Asian championships and the qualifiers of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics games.
